It’s a pain, but vehicles do breakdown or experience mechanical failure of various kinds. AA Auto Cover Mechanical Breakdown Insurance covers a wide range of mechanical and electrical parts and helps to cover other costs, including:
- Cover for reasonable repair of most mechanical and electrical parts. Plus there’s no need to pay for the repairs and claim – claims costs are paid directly to the repairer
- 24-hour AA Roadservice for mechanical breakdown; towing; flat battery; lost or locked out key; flat tyre; out of fuel
- Accommodation and vehicle rental – if your vehicle takes more than 24 hours to repair and you are more than 100 km from home, the insurance will cover up to five days accommodation or up to five days vehicle hire (both to a maximum $500).
- Vehicle recovery – cover to tow your vehicle to the nearest Vero approved repairer, from wherever you are.
- You can claim multiple times – there is no limit to the number of claims you can make during the policy period.

- up to 175,000 km $5,000
- up to 225,000 km $3,000
- up to 125,000 km $8,000
